Philodendron Ring of Fire is a slow grower; however, it is certainly worth the wait once it matures because he gathers a rare combination of five colors, all occurring at different parts and seasons throughout the year.
Native to the tropical regions of South America, it is believed to be a hybrid between the Philodendron Wendlandii and Philodendron Tortum.
Philodendron Ring of Fire enjoys rich organic soils, average humidity between 30% and 60%, and partially-shaded areas.
The soil should be moist but not hold excess water and allow sufficient air to pass through. Thus, he takes up nutrients slowly, allowing each part to absorb them fully; for efficient absorption, the soil must be kept moist.
He's a great plant even for beginners because he can adapt to various light conditions. While it prefers bright light, it can also do well in low-light areas. This and his moderate humidity needs makes him perfect and easy to grow indoors, but he can also be grown outdoors in the warm months if you offer him a shady spot.
The plant will be shipped in a 12 cm round nursery pot.
