“They grow up so fast!” And no, we’re not talking about children. We’re talking about this stunning Anthurium with leaves that have a leathery texture but are as thin as tissue paper.
Even though it is native to the lowland and montane rainforests in Ecuador and Northern Peru, if you’ve got some (well, a lot) of room to spare, this baby is ready to move in with you.
In its natural habitat, Anthurium Balaoanum grows up to 30m. Indoors it is likely to grow to around 2m, making for a spectacular and versatile “roomie.”
It doesn’t need much: it can tolerate lower humidity than the ideal.
It prefers indirect sunlight and temperatures between 21 and 32 degrees Celsius. Water it thoroughly, with the water draining through- just be careful not to waterlog the soil.
The plant is 50 cm tall and will be shipped in a 12 cm pot.
