Anthurium Villenaorum

€159,00

Localized in the San Martin Region in Peru, Anthurium Villenaorum is a discovery that has yet even to be described formally; however, widely grown now in specialist collections, although still fairly rare elsewhere.

It's certainly an unusual and very handsome anthurium - a compact grower features long leaves with thick white veins reminiscent of Anthurium Regale. Its leaf blades grow up to 75 cm.

This is a really interesting looking white-veined Anthurium because of how it grows - more rosette-like than other veined Anthuriums. It has much thicker veins, especially striking due to its triangular shaped petiole, which is a very rare characteristic in anthurium.

Its slow growth makes it likely that it will continue to be difficult to acquire.

Water thoroughly when the first inch of the soil becomes dry to the touch, stopping when water starts draining from the drainage holes. Avoid overwatering (Anthurium roots are susceptible to rot!). The more light and warmth your Anthurium gets, the more water it will need, so check the soil for dryness every few days. These plants will provide signs of stress or thirst, so pay attention.

The plant will be shipped in a 12 cm pot.
