The petioles possess an ornate ruffled wavy edge the stalks are a reddish and green rhubarb color with very subtle white streaks.
Philodendron Mamei is a creeping species that grows over the ground, but he has been observed growing as an epiphyte (grows upon another plant, normally a tree).
There are some P. Mamei with leaf blades up to 1 meter in width, however the average specimen will possess leaves of approximately 25 to 45cm in size, depending on the care given.
Philodendron mamei prefers bright but indirect sunlight and does not do well in cold temperatures.
This specimen is planted in fast draining soil which needs to be kept evenly damp but never soggy.
The plant is over 40 - 45 cm tall and will be shipped in a 12 cm pot.
